As a child I did not spend much time doing outdoor activities, such as hunting and fishing. While I have always been interested in learning the fundamentals of fishing and hunting, I never had the opportunity to pursue these hobbies. Through life experiences and having children, I have grown to appreciate and develop a passion for the outdoors. In 2012, I fell in love with fishing and never looked back. Recently, I went all in on learning how to hunt and harvested several whitetails in 2023.

After barley fishing for 2 years I finally decided to get back after it. Had a really good day fishing for bass and almost felt like I was back in a tournament. Got my first bass an hour in but a grind for the rest of the day. Happy with the results.

I know it has been a hot minutes since my last video. A lot of things have happened in the last year. Relocating to Texas and work has been absolutely crazy and hectic. Trying to keep some content rolling in over the next year. Thanks for watching and subscribing

We’ll never mind. I should have watched more before commenting. So next question this coming from someone who doesn’t have neither drive. You still find situations where the pedal drive is an advantage
Advantage vs not having one or vs the trolling motor? If you have neither the pedal drive is an advantage for sure, helps keep you in position or allows you to be hands free.
So once you installed the trolling motor do you ever used the pedal drive?

got any actual GPS speeds and or comparable speed w just using a paddle? Thanks. I simply want to tour and really wish wilderness systems would make a NON-Fishing yack built for speed that was reasonably stable..lol I am a cyclist and a kayaker/ own several tarpons. both 16'. I like sit on tops as they are just more comfortable am interested in the ped drive if its faster.

Update on the pedal drive? I am looking to buy it but seen many bad reviews
A couple of slots in the kydex to run the velcro straps thru and around the whole shitteree makes it stable and easily removable.

Researching pedal yaks due to old shoulders. Never occurred to me that leg reach could be an issue. Simple solution would be to replace the pedals with thicker ones. Or bolt wood or plastic blocks to one side of the pedal. 3/4” on a bike seat height makes a big difference. Exact same effect if you add to the pedal itself. Thanks for the good review.

My solution was a piece of black paper scotch taped to the fishfinder. Dirt cheap, easy to store away when not needed, and doesn't interfere with fitting my fishfinder back into it's case between use. If worried about water, could use a paper-thin piece of black plastic just as easily. Check an office supply store for vinyl binders.

I have the Ride 115. And have trouble standing on it. How much more stable is it from the 115X? I’m on the fence on getting the Radar 115

Quinton Renfroe no there isn’t. So what I did is use Zooka tube rod holder and put 2 on each side on the gear track as well as the crate rod holders

I just got a radar 115 and ordered the groovy landing gear. I also like the handles you installed on the sides. Do you have a video of that? How are they secured to the sides of the kayak?
Brian Wright unfortunately I don’t have a video, if I remember right I used rivets to secure them with a washer. I mainly use them just to maneuver the kayak and not to carry. I think if you tried to carry the kayak it would come off, however you should be able to reach on the inside through the middle hatch to add big washers to ensure they don’t rip off

Listening to the video I can hear a sound almost like a buffeting this happens to my go pro when I'm using the app on my phone and I have the wifi on to see the screen on my phone. Wondering if that's why i hear that on your video. It's really faint but It drives me nuts lol great video though i went with mtb
